Abstract |
The stone castle-castle Krevo was erected in the 14th century, possibly by invited Hanseatic masters. However, it cannot be associated with the annalistic Krevo. The report tells about the study of the ancient settlement of Krevo X–XIII centuries. Gorodishchensky hill is located 2 km from the castle. Preliminary excavation results indicate a predominance of the East Slavic rather than the Baltic population. Exploration of the ancient Krevo will continue. |
