Abstract | The Paper is devoted to the analyze of the last from the four Livonian chronicles ofthe 16th cent. ― «The Liflandian chronicle», written by Solomon Henning (1528–1589). It waspublished in 1590 in Rostock for the first time. Henning was the secretary of Gotard Kettler, thelast Master of the Livonian Order and the first Duke of Curlandia. His Chronicle was the apology,glorification of Kettler as a Christian sovereign, which had saved in his Curlandian Duchy small«part» of Livonia. The Chronicle is an underestimate historical sources about Livonian War. Scholars used it rare, but it contains a lot of unique facts about the history of Curlandia and thehistory of Livonian War. | ||||||||
